Louisiana singer/songwriter Clay Parker first garnered some notice with three superb original songs that were included on Old House Records' label sampler Exaudio Tui Viscus in 2007. Since then, Parker has continued to perform at various locations around the Southwest, honing a very personal style that is influenced by folk, American country music, and early bluesmen like Mississippi John Hurt. 2011 saw the release of his debut album The Wind and the Warble on Old House Records, featuring songs that are far more in the folk and Americana tradition than the three Dylanesque tunes on the earlier sampler. Parker's second full-length is due out in the Spring of 2013.
